Introducing Nettle Oxymel. A small-batch seasonal medicine made with nettle grown right in my own medicine garden. This one will only be available in limited quantities while supplies last.
Nettle leaf naturally contains a plethora of nutrients & minerals, including calcium, magnesium, potassium, iron, along with chlorophyll and other plant compounds. Because of its nourishing nature, nettle has a long history of being enjoyed as a spring tonic & everyday herb.
WHAT IS AN OXYMEL?
An oxymel is a traditional herbal preparation made using honey + vinegar. The name comes from the Greek words for acid and honey - essentially “sour honey".
Crafted simply with:
- Garden-grown nettle
- Premium raw honey
- Raw apple cider vinegar (with "the mother")
RAW + GUT-FRIENDLY
Made with raw honey and raw apple cider vinegar, this oxymel brings together naturally occurring acids and plant compounds in a sweet-tangy preparation that can be enjoyed as part of a gut-friendly routine.
The nettle was grown, gathered and prepared by me from my medicine garden, then slowly macerated in raw honey and apple cider vinegar before being strained and bottled by hand.
HOW TO ENJOY IT
Enjoy a small amount on its own, or add it to water, sparkling water, herbal tea, salad dressing/vinaigrette. My favourite way to use it is first thing upon waking up - utilizing its gut-health properties & the vitamins + minerals - they're best absorbed on an empty stomach: add to a warm cup of water (the warmth of the water also soothes your stomach lining)
